Currently, we have an immediate need for a Working Foreman to manage the plumbing operations of the company, including the scheduling and dispatch of the crews, ordering, and purchasing equipment and materials, inventory stocking program, oversee all warehouse functions. Clear and concise communications with company customers, including keeping customers appraised as to company schedule and requested lead time. Oversee the training and efficiency of company installers. Adherence and enforcement of the company's "No Will Call" policy. Implementation and enforcement of the company's purchasing policy. The overall supervision of the company's plumbing crews and the profitability of plumbing jobs.

Pay: $60,000 - $90,000 (can be full salary or hourly + performance)

Hours of Work: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, overtime and occasional weekends

Required Qualifications:

5 years of experience in plumbing, maintenance, or related field

Valid Journeyman Plumbers License

Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

Ability to use tools of the trade, including but not limited to plumbing snakes, augers, drills, saws, hammers, measuring tape, levels, and screwdrivers

Excellent math, written, and verbal skills

Willing to work in all types of weather

Ability to supervise and manage teams and projects

Follow all safety policies and procedures

Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Handle the physical workload and perform physical labor for extended periods of time

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in both residential and commercial plumbing

Kentucky Installers Septic License

Boiler License

High school diploma or GED

Strong business acumen and skills

Job Duties:

Open shop at 7:00 am

Update layout schedule for next 5 days

Update and maintain schedule board with all sold jobs, communicate scheduling issues with other departments, including sales

Make sure that all jobs have permits and the inspections are called in timely

Review new jobs with the Installer, check paperwork and timecards from the previous day's job, find any punch list or incomplete items

Check at least one Installer's tools and van per week

Walk shop and loading area, answer questions; installers gone by 8:15am

Turn in all files for billing from the prior day

Turn over tomorrow's shop fabrication for completion day

Return customer calls in a timely manner, resolving open issues in a fast/efficient manner

Schedule contractors for jobs scheduled 5-10 days from the current day

Coordinate scheduling for Plumbing Technician labor 5 days prior to a project with the Plumbing Dispatcher

10:00 am leave for scheduled layouts

Complete the material list while on each layout

Contact the office before & after each layout

Check on one or two jobs in progress each day for quality & on time status

Be available by radio for Installer questions, know the whereabouts and progress of the crew during the day

3:30pm return to the shop to update the schedule, finish drawings, etc.

Follow up field status with crew

Ensure Installers are completing the necessary paperwork

Turn over ASAP fittings to the shop
