PAY: Up to $25.00/hour to $27.00 (based upon experience)

HOURS: 40+/hrs. a week

SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday- Friday

Job Title: Lead Steel Building Framer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Steel Framer with 6+ years of experience in prefab steel building erection, including a proven track record of leading and managing crews in the field. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all phases of steel frame construction projects—ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a crew in the erection of prefab steel buildings, including warehouses, commercial buildings, detached garages, and similar structures

Coordinate daily tasks and ensure proper workflow and productivity on site

Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project plans

Drill into concrete and securely attach steel framing beams and structural components

Raise, place, and install steel/metal beams, columns, and other structural members

Operate hand and power tools with a high level of proficiency

Perform and oversee general labor tasks including site setup, material staging, and cleanup

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and enforce job site safety practices

Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and address any field challenges

Provide hands-on support and mentoring to crew members

Requirements:

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Skilled in concrete drilling and attaching steel framing components

Experience coordinating teams and managing job site activities

Mechanically inclined with strong knowledge of framing tools and construction practices

Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding conditions

Knowledge of site safety protocols and ability to enforce them

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to job sites as required

Proven experience in Steel Framing Construction, or a related field is preferred.

Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is advantageous.

Proficient in using power tools and hand tools effectively.

Basic carpentry hand tools and tool belt
