Position Overview:
The Fiber to the Home Install Technician is responsible for ensuring that our customers have the best internet experience by providing seamless installation and connection services. This role demands technical prowess, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently. If you have no prior industry experience we offer paid training.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic systems in homes and small businesses.
Complete installations on schedule, adhering to our high standards of quality and safety.
Troubleshoot any issues related to fiber optic installation, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal customer satisfaction.
Educate customers about the benefits and functionality of their new system, answering any questions they may have.
Maintain an inventory of equipment and tools, ensuring that all are in excellent working condition.
Coordinate with the customer service team to provide updates on installations and address any concerns or complaints.
Be reliable.
Qualifications:
Relevant technical certifications are a plus but not required.
Previous experience with fiber optic installations or related fields preferred but we offer paid training if not.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Comfortable working in various weather conditions and physical environments.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Prefer that you have your own work vehicle (truck or van).
Ability to lift up to 75lbs (ladder).
