KBC is seeking qualified, efficiency-focused applicants for the position of Facilities and Fleet Manager. This position supports overall KBC operations by ensuring the functionality and appearance of equipment, buildings, grounds and vehicles, including ongoing repairs and maintenance. The role interacts with all levels and areas within the organization, and reports to the Director of lnventory and Facilities Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiates with contractors and vendors to accomplish assigned tasks in the most cost-effective manner.

Maintains a working knowledge of all facility and fleet vendor contracts and manuals to ensure specifications and service level agreements are met, and that all scheduled PM and inspections are completed as required.

Performs vehicle condition assessments, and coordinates cleaning and repairs by KBC or vendors.

Responsible for training KBC employees (all departments) on use of vehicles, maintains driver files, and ensures all applicable DOT regulations are met.

Coordinates and/or performs plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating, and cooling maintenance for all locations.

Responds to unexpected situations and events and applies flexibility and critical problem-solving skills to quickly find solutions; develops back-up or alternative systems for common problems, such as a generator power shortages.

Responsible for overseeing the cleaning and safety of all KBC locations and ensuring all cleaning checklists are accurately completed.

Works with IT team to maintain building security at all sites.

Coordinates any remodeling or special projects in facility or on grounds at all sites.

Responsible for certain equipment maintenance and repair and the tracking of those activities.

Ensures the safety of facilities from fire, flood and other hazards.

Supervises department employees, setting expectations, assigning work, and assessing quality and adherence to established timeframes; involved in selection and hiring processes, and oversees development.

Develops and maintains training checklists; trains, coaches, and evaluates performance according to KBC and department standards.

Assists Vice President and CFO with preparation and monitoring of departmental budget.

Maintains accurate records of all facilities, vehicles, and equipment, and the conditions thereof, and related activities.

Participates in the development of policies and procedures relating to all facilities and fleet functions and ensures SOP's and training plans are accurate and updated, as needed.

Proactively identifies and troubleshoots potential problems; performs a thorough daily walk around inspection of building, grounds and vehicles.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; related vocational certificate or degree is a plus.

3+ years of facilities maintenance experience required; supervisory skills strongly preferred.

Proven knowledge of general building and vehicle maintenance functions and concepts; basic "handyperson" aptitude, i.e. mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling.

MS Office and Adobe proficiency with the ability to navigate and enter data into web applications and proprietary systems.

Strong team building, organization, and communication skills.

Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds.

Requires ability to work flexible schedule to include some evenings and weekends, and to participate in department on-call rotation.

Valid Kentucky driver's license and safe driving record; must obtain CDL within six months of hire.
