Description As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all operational activities within our fertilizer manufacturing facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of production processes, maintaining quality standards, optimizing resource utilization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.Production Management:Supervise and coordinate all aspects of fertilizer production, including raw material procurement, blending, granulation, and packaging.Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing equipment utilization and manpower allocation.Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.Supply Chain Optimization:Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate supply while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to streamline supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency.Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.Quality Assurance:Establish and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process to maintain product consistency and meet quality specifications.Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address deviations from quality standards and minimize product defects.Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Continuous Improvement:Lead initiatives to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.Foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence by encouraging employee involvement in problem-solving and continuous learning.Implement lean manufacturing principles and tools to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and enhance overall efficiency.Team Leadership and Development:Provide leadership and direction to a diverse team of production operators, technicians, and supervisors.Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and feedback to enhance team effectiveness.Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge in areas such as safety, quality, and technical competency.
