This person will need to be able to travel to different offices throughout the state where needed to include Bowling Green, Benton, Lexington, Florence, Louisville and PrestonsburgWhat You Get To Do:The Disabilities Human Services Area Director is responsible for the overall management and administration of programs/services and new development that serves those with developmental/intellectual disabilities. This includes budget development and implementation, rate negotiation, licensing, strategic evaluation and planning, staff development, hiring and supervision of program directors and assigned support staff, policy development, marketing, and proposal development.Duties of this role include, but are not limited to;Proactive oversight for all assigned area legal, contractual and regulatory compliance initiativesOversees internal and external audit processes.Oversee Quality Assurance Initiatives and implements agency and state quality assurance programs.Oversees Risk Management and Safety InitiativesInitiates and performs activities to ensure compliance with company mission, strategic goals, and company quality standardsEstablishes good relationships with outside agencies, community involvement, and civic organizationsProvides appropriate and timely communication to Senior Director of business opportunitiesCommunicates and role-models the company's mission, values, goalsCommunicates operating philosophy and system information updates, and strategic directionBuilds and supports the statewide teamMonitors and supports direct reports in professional development and growthDevelops, oversees and analyzes budgetsTroubleshoots problem areas as they develop in a timely mannerMaximizes the use of financial resources through staffing modelsOversee/participate in the hiring process of all assigned positions in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal employment lawEnsure the implementation of programs to evaluate, recognize, and develop employees as well as a positive work environmentEnsure all staff receives training and supervision as needed to meet performance expectationsEnsure human resources policies and practices are followedPromotes a learning environment at all levelsReports on the operation key indicatorsParticipates in projects as assigned by supervisorOversees all efforts toward achievement of regional, state, and company objectivesAct as interim Area Director if vacancies arise
