Description We are inviting applicants to join our team in the role of Staff Accountant, based in Lexington, Kentucky. This role is centered around general accounting and consulting, with a strong emphasis on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. As a Staff Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our operations.Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Handle payroll functions ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and company policies Perform bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for accurately Maintain the General Ledger, recording journal entries and ensuring accuracy of all financial statements Conduct month-end close tasks, preparing financial reports for review Utilize ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks Provide consulting and advice on financial matters as needed Assist with financial reporting, ensuring all reports are accurate and timely Ensure all accounting tasks comply with financial regulations and standards. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a related role Must have demonstrated skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries is required Experience with Month End Close procedures is essential Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is expected A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred detail oriented certification such as CPA is a plus Must have a strong ethical standard and integrity Candidates should be detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy in their work Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
