Description Our company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various functions related to the financial processes of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Human Resources, the Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in daily financial operations, reporting, and providing support across multiple functions.Key Responsibilities:

Prepare daily cash deposits and reports to monitor and manage daily cash activities.

Execute monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Generate and analyze financial statements for internal and external use.

Develop key performance indicator reports to facilitate informed decision-making.

Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of records for audit purposes.

Manage bank statements, accounts receivable, and state fuel tax reports.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements.

Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Human Resources on finance-related activities.

Assist in budgeting, grants management, purchasing, and contribute to audit and review processes.

Maintain detailed records of fixed assets and inventory in the financial system.

Monitor and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Provide training and support to the Customer Service Department on deposit and sales processes.

Foster a collaborative environment to enhance cross-departmental financial knowledge.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
