OverviewSaint Joseph East is a 217-bed full-service community hospital located in the rapidly growing southeastern section of Lexington Kentucky. We provide care for patients in Fayette and surrounding counties. At Saint Joseph East ambulatory surgery 24-hour emergency care and women’s health services are supported through a vast array of inpatient and outpatient program. Additional specialty services include Heart Care Breast Care Sleep Care and Weight Loss Surgery. Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort

Anticipates, identifies, and responds to informational and emotional needs of patients and families

Guides and directs healthcare personnel (i.e., Patient Care Technicians) in caring for patients

Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (i.e., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices) Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms with necessary

Initiates emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury)

Assists with patient care duties/tasks (i.e., emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene)

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program

Active Registered Nurse Licensure in Kentucky (KY) or eNLC licensure with multistate privileges in good standing

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS ) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required to obtain within 6 months post hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Previous nursing experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Cardiac, Emergency, or Critical Care service lines

Pay Range$30.00 - $43.50 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
