In this role, you will be working with our robot software engineering team on the software stack for our current and future AMR product line. You will be part of a fast paced team developing and enhancing ROS-based software applications, implementing complex algorithms, and integrating cutting edge sensor technology. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to design and support our current fleet as well as future generation products.What will you do?

Develop or enhance robot algorithms used for navigation (path planning and obstacle avoidance), localization, and mapping

Evaluate and integrate new sensor technology into the navigation stack

Investigate and test new functional capabilities for current and future generation robots

Participate in product development design reviews

Interface with hardware vendors to facilitate system integration

Work cross-functionally with software and hardware teams within the organization to develop a complete system design

Consult with external customers on robotics design support

Assist in migration from ROS1 to ROS2

How will you get here?  

Education:  

BS in Computer Science or related engineering field

Experience:  

Proficiency in C and Python programming

7+ Years of Experience in Robotics and/or Software Engineering

Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS) and evaluating ROS packages

Demonstrated experience working with Ubuntu or other Debian-based Linux distributions

Experience working with RGB and 3D sensors

Strong background with Git version control

Preferred Qualifications:  

Understanding of robotics and computer vision algorithms preferred but not required
