Payroll Accountant

Description We are on the lookout for a meticulous Payroll Accountant to join our team in Lexington, Massachusetts. As a Payroll Accountant, you will handle all aspects of payroll processing, including timecard reconciliation, data entry, and payment processing. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately process weekly payroll to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time Reconcile hours and timecards regularly to prevent discrepancies Handle accruals of time off to ensure accurate record keeping Confirm pay codes are correct to maintain payroll integrity Manage benefits data accurately and confidentially Take charge of data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date payroll records Print checks as part of the payroll process Process payments efficiently, ensuring all transactions are completed in a timely manner Assist with additional projects as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the payroll department. Requirements The candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar role. Proficiency in processing payroll is a must. Experience in processing bi-weekly payroll is required. The candidate should have the ability to perform daily reconciliation tasks effectively. Proficiency in data entry is expected. The candidate should have experience in managing time cards.
