Responsibilities Inpatient Therapist Opportunity: Full Time, Days $5,000 Sign on Bonus Under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient Services, provides therapeutic group and family treatment to adolescent patients with mental health and/ or substance abuse diagnoses in Fayette County Schools. Coordinates their treatment through treatment planning, the treatment team process, and utilization review. Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities. As the only free-standing psychiatric hospital in the Central Kentucky area, we are here to help. Please join our team as we expand our services to meet the needs of our community. The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years. Job Duties include:

Provide therapeutic group and family treatment to patients with mental and substance abuse diagnosis.

Coordinate treatment through treatment planning, the treatment team process, and utilization and review.

Conduct psychosocial assessments.

Assess, develop, and implement groups to enhance treatment of patients.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

Education

Master’s degree in social work or other mental health field required.

Certifications/Licensure

Certification or licensure in social work or mental health field required, e.g., LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, etc.

Crisis intervention training is required and is offered upon hire.

CPR is required and offered upon hire.

Experience

One to two years of mental health experience required.

Other Skills

Written and oral communication skills.

Skills in case management.

Skills in time management.

Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, and advanced principals of abnormal psychology.

Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients.

Skills in conducting individual and family sessions.

Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.

Must demonstrate the ability to treat all age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization’s cross-training, orientation program. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
