ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Director of Event Services for Truist Arena on the campus of Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, KY. This position oversees and manages the activities, programs and staffing associated with all aspect of the front-of-house division of the facility. Candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated.PLEASE NOTE: This position is required to pass a credit & background check.Major Responsibilities:
Hires, trains and supervises event service staff.
Ensures successful event coordination activities by supervising and training Guest Services Manager. Plans, organizes and assigns all day-to-day work assignments for the Guest Services Manager.
Ensures successful implementation and execution of guest service policies and procedures by supervising the Guest Services Manager.
Researches, reviews and recommends equipment, materials and supplies required in providing event services and planning.
Coordinates outside service needs with food and beverage contractor, decorator and other vendors.
Coordinates with marketing department all media entry into the building before, during or immediately following events.
Guides clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies and procedures.
Facilitates all aspects of event from start to finish which includes (but is not limited to): setup, working with outside vendors, staffing posts and preparation of final event cost estimate.
Monitors in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events. Follows-up on all client requests, concerns and problems.
Attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations.
Serves as manager on duty as required.
Prepares Event Services departmental and estimated revenues.
Maintains the proper image and generates positive public relations with patrons and staff.
Works extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
Prepares schedules and assigns events to the Guest Services Manager.
Meets with potential clients, advises them on the facility requirements, and negotiates sales of additional services.
Works with internal service partners to provide quality service to customers.
Serves as liaison for all facility clients to ensure highest level of customer service for all external service providers.
Prepares annual budget for department.
Prepares reports of monthly event activities for submission to the General Manager.
Develops policies and procedures for the Event Services Department and monitors their compliance.
Establishes new standards of customer service by working with front-of-house staff.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business or related field.
3-5 years Event Management experience in Stadium, Arena or related venue.
1-3 years supervisory experience desired.
Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours as needed.

Supervisory experience preferred.
