Maintenance Mechanic

MACHINE REBUILD MECHANIC- 1st SHIFT This hourly position installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipes in industrial establishments.ESSENTIAL DUTIESUses hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, measuring instruments, fork trucks, and aerial equipment in the proper manner.Reads and follows specifications, blueprints and manuals.Installs hydraulic tubing.Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Operates cutting and welding equipment to cut and join metal parts.Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.Repairs or replaces defective parts.Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.Operates lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools.Works in confined spaces and follows proper safety rules accordingly.Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime(OT) as assigned.Meets all physical and environmental requirements.REQUIREMENTSEducation: Minimum High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Journeyman License, associate degree or higher is preferred.Certifications/Licenses: Must have or be willing to obtain high-pressure hydraulic pipe welding certification. Valid driver’s license required and a willingness to be licensed for powered industrial equipment.Experience: Two or more years’ experience including using a wide range of hand and powered tools.
