Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Dispatcher role based in Georgetown, Kentucky. The job function includes ensuring smooth operations in logistics and shipping & receiving industry. You will be the point of contact for coordinating freight carriers, providing excellent customer service, and managing logistics functions using MS Excel. Apply today to be considered! Responsibilities: Handle dispatching duties efficiently, coordinating with freight carriers for timely and accurate deliveries. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving any issues or inquiries related to dispatch. Utilize MS Excel to maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and other logistics information. Work in a fast-paced environment, effectively multitasking to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations. Use strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, from customers to logistics partners. Leverage your dispatching experience to improve processes and contribute to the team's success. Use your conflict resolution skills to handle any disputes or problems that arise in the dispatch process. Listen attentively to instructions and feedback, and apply them to your work to ensure high quality service. Be comfortable working with the Microsoft Office Suite for various administrative tasks. Help the team in expanding their department by contributing your customer service and dispatch skills.Requirements Proven experience in a dispatching role or similar position Proficiency in using MS Excel for data management and reporting Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members Knowledge and experience in logistics, including the coordination and distribution of goods Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods Experience with freight carriers, understanding their operations and requirements Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations efficiently Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve dispatching and logistics challenges Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Good geographical knowledge to assist in planning routes and logistics Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with different departments.
