Description We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our financial success during a specified engagement.Responsibilities:

Data Entry and Record Maintenance: Accurately input financial data into the accounting system, including invoices, expenses, receipts, and other relevant information. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice validation, vendor payments, and customer collections.

General Ledger Support: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by ensuring that entries are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of cash transactions and resolve discrepancies.

Financial Reports: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and statements to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and proper categorization.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

Requirements:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in an accounting clerk role or a similar position is advantageous but not mandatory.

Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and experience with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).

Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of financial data and documentation.

Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with team members, management, and external partners.

Integrity: Demonstrates high ethical standards and handles sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Team Player: Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and contributes positively to the team's success.
