Job Description SummaryAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee the activities associated with the manufacturing processes in a job shop environment to ensure operational excellence. This role will work with and lead the team to identify and drive projects that improve current processes ensuring conformance to standards and targets.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Review drawings, sketches, schematics, manuals, and sample parts to establish appropriate manufacturing process.

Quote new parts using established procedures.

Provide technical support for assigned areas of the manufacturing facility.

Ensure manufacturing has accurate and detailed information on specifications required to produce quality parts.

Collaborates with others to solve issues. Exchanges technical information asks questions and checks for understanding.

Define and control production processes including tooling and equipment.

Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.

Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the service center.

Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

Lead and drive lean activities resulting in improved processes to drive quality, on-time delivery, and financial results.

Lead and drive daily management initiatives to define and meet targets.

Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce defects and CoPQ.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering is preferred.

Relevant experience in quality engineering applied to machine shops.

Desired Characteristics

Basic experience in manufacturing and production processes related to machining and fabrication.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to document, plan and execute programs to drive results.

Demonstrated critical thinker with ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Demonstrated inclusive behavior with ability to connect and influence team.

Strong organization skills.

Proficiency in SAP software.

Comfortable leading teams and assigning tasks.
