Description Robert Half has a full-time opportunity for Staff Accountant candidates who want to become a critical part of an innovative company. You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate for this position can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries Requirements - Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Detailed and have the ability work independently
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
SAP experience preferred
Solid understanding of month end closings
Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
