An exciting career awaits youAt MPC, we’re committed to being a great place to work – one that welcomes new ideas, encourages diverse perspectives, develops our people, and fosters a collaborative team environment.POSITION SUMMARYMarathon Petroleum Company, LP the largest petroleum refining and marketing corporation in the United States, has an immediate opening for Refinery Maintenance Planner – Routine Maintenance (RM) Facilities at its Catlettsburg, Kentucky refinery.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Facilities planner is responsible for the planning, coordination, and tracking of specific programs and budgets related to plant grounds and buildings work. This includes all aspects of material procurement, outside contractors use and equipment rentals. The Facility Planner must be nimble enough to adjust to changing circumstances. It is the Facilities planner’s responsibility to ensure that any contractors used conduct their business in a safe, environmentally sound, and efficient manner. The Facilities planner reports to the RM planning supervisor. Facilities Maintenance Planner Responsibilities:

Plan, track, and coordinate budgets and activities for general building maintenance and repairs, roof repair, plumbing repair, and preventative maintenance (PM) programs. Provide information for the development of the annual facilities expense budget and programs by working with accounting and management to provide an understanding of what information is needed to establish the budget, schedule, and who will complete the work. This includes but is not limited to:

Dike maintenance, inspections, and regulatory activities

Digester maintenance, PM programs and environmental regulatory requirements

Elevator repairs, PM/inspection programs and regulatory activities and documentation

Facility improvements: facilitate routine initiatives and actively support large projects related to buildings and facilities.

Fencing, coordinate activities with security and fencing contractor.

Paving, plan and coordinate paving and general road repair and maintenance activities plantwide.

Railroad spurs maintenance, PM/inspection programs and regulatory activities.

Vegetation control, and general landscaping activities plantwide.

Pest and Animal control activities.

Potable water line maintenance and repair plant wide.

Scale maintenance, PM programs, inspections, and regulatory requirements.

Safety equipment maintenance such as fire hydrants and safety shower/eye wash stations associated with Maintenance Department owned areas. Manage rounds associated with periodic inspections of safety equipment.

Review, plan, and coordinate Facilities Area 7 work notifications. Ensure work notifications have accurate information and are transferred to the appropriate areas as needed.

Keep an accurate history of work completed in the facilities area.

Develop and maintain a weekly schedule of work for facilities resources. This must be developed and agreed to with facilities execution.

Work with departments utilizing facilities manpower to train them on entering work requests via Prometheus. Train customers on facilities maintenance process.

Collaborate with accounting and cost control groups to ensure expenses are charged to the appropriate budgets. Follow the cost control consistency document.

Manage blanket work orders associated with facilities work. Close blanket work orders annually and write new work orders. Minimize the use of blanket work orders as much as possible.

Generate facilities backlog which is reviewed weekly with facilities execution. The backlog will be shared with the planning and execution Supervisors weekly.

Manage and maintain an accurate facilities backlog (Area 7). Work with other work centers to ensure Area 7 work is being completed in a timely manner.

Plan and coordinate meeting and special event preparations.

Plan and coordinate procurement, installation, and maintenance of audio/visual equipment plantwide.

Communicate plantwide facilities activities to all affected parties.

Plan and coordinate pest and animal control activities.

Understand and comply with SARA Title III chemical inventory requirements related to facilities and building matters.

Understand and comply with all SIP assignments and PSM requirements concerning facilities and building matters.

Recognize and initiate MOC and facility siting requirements when applicable.

Submit weekly manpower plan.

Be a safety leader.

Follow all policies and procedures and leads by example.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School degree or GED required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)

Minimum 2 years maintenance experience in an industrial setting required.

Minimum 2 years of maintenance planning experience preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in refining, chemical, power industry, or related military experience preferred.

Strong communication skills.

Strong collaboration skills.

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)

SAP, RED, APM (GE Asset Performance Management), Intelex experience preferred.
