Location: Bowling Green, KY Category: Staff Posted On: Thu May 2 2024 Job Description: This positions is responsible for supporting the Programming and Operations Department of WKU Public Media in a variety of ways. Duties include serving as a Master Control Operator, assisting in file and database management, reviewing and updating broadcast operations procedures, and conducting readings and system checks in compliance with FCC regulations.Primary Responsibilities:

To provide supplemental production content verification of video and audio file quality, monitor program logs.

Conduct transmitter readings and tower light checks in compliance with FCC regulations.

Assist in reviewing and updating workflow procedure documentation

Serve as master control operator on an as needed basis.

Supplemental file transfer and log creation duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree

At least two years of experience in broadcast operations

Comprehensive knowledge of broadcast traffic operations

Microsoft Office skills

Ability to work with university staff, students, and clients in a positive and collegial manner.
