Plans, conducts, and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
Designs and analyzes test hardware, test plans, and manufacturing technologies; guides fabrication of experimental hardware and electronic test assemblies; also develops and deploys data system hardware.
Provides technical support for project management, including test plans or proposals, cost and schedule estimates for test programs, and instrumentation and test condition definitions.
Guides test mechanics and electricians and performs metrology and calibration certification services.
Investigates, analyzes, and resolves test program-related problems and anomalies. Conducts tests per plan and processes data; documents test plans and results; and provides data, information, and knowledge to requesting customers.
Interfaces with engineers, peers, group leaders, internal and external suppliers, and laboratory users for direction, collaboration, approval, and identifying requirements to resolve design, manufacturing, and related process problem.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Calibration :
Perform calibration and verification activities on a wide variety of test and measuring equipment such as, Torque tools, Micrometers, Calipers, Dial indicators, Gauge tools and other precision measuring equipment.
Ensure all test equipment is in proper working order and meets all applicable specifications
Interpret test procedures, drawings
Generate and maintain calibration records and reports
Identify and recommend corrective actions for out-of-tolerance conditions
Assist in the development of calibration procedures
Maintain calibration laboratory tools and equipment
Analyze and interpret data from calibration activities
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as necessary
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications :
2-4 years’ experience in the field without a degree
0-2 years with a Technical School Certificate
