Job Description
The Director will be responsible for:
Providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children in the program.
Maintaining proper KDHE licensing for the center and staff.
Enrollment and necessary bookkeeping related to the program.
Interviewing, hiring, training and supervising the REAL Kids staff.
Purchasing necessary supplies and keeping records of expenditures.
Communicating regularly with parents of enrolled students.
Reporting monthly to St. Paul’s Board of Education on the status of the program.
KDHE Required Qualifications
Has 60 academic credit hours or
Has 12 months of job-related experience or
Has a combination of 30 academic credit hours and six months of job-related experience.
Program directors must demonstrate: knowledge of child and youth development, knowledge of licensing regulations, administrative and supervisory skills, the ability to communicate clearly and the competence to manage the program in compliance with the program policies, the program plan, and all KDHE regulations regarding a school-age center.

Ability to lead large groups, train staff
Efficient, disciplined, well organized
Computer skills preferred, but will train in Open Office and Excel
Work Hours
School Year Session: 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday Approx: 20 hours per week
Summer Session: 6:30 am - 4:00 pm Four days a week Approx: 40 hours per week
