Description:Strategic leader responsible for development, maintenance and execution of the Enterprise Data Management and Analytics Program with teams focused on governance, architecture, integration, data warehousing, and analytics to enable business-led transformation data strategies to improve and develop new insight capability across all facets. Key aspect of this role is collaborating with cross-functional business partners, to ensure the fostering of an environment of creativity and innovation while delivering best practice solutions through leveraging experience, thought leadership, and technology to empower a culture that drives strategic objectives through data.a. The team is focused on governance, architecture, integration, data warehousing, and analytics to enable business-led transformation data strategies to improve and develop new insight capability across all facets of the business. b. There are 2 separate teams within Enterprise Data Management & Analysis, which are aligned closely with data architecture.i. Data Management (DM) team – Focus on foundational technologies, including management and support of both traditional and modern data and analytics platforms.
2 Business & Quality Assurance analysts support both the DM and DA teams.
3 Developers provide support and development for platforms.
ii. Data Analytics (DA) team – Focused on maximizing use of new platform and technologies to increase adoption of tools for analytics across the business. Considered to be subject matter experts with tools and will provide both support capabilities and self-service enablement.
2 Business & Quality Assurance analysts support both the DM and DA teams.
Data Visualization Engineer is subject matter expert for data visualization tools (especially PowerBI) and works closely with the business to develop analytics or enable self-service capabilities.
Data Scientist role will be new position on this team, as we mature our capabilities. Currently leveraging augmentation to fulfill role.
Business Process Engineer role will be new position on this team which will focus more on automation and use of tools like Power Automate. This position is not active yet.
iii. Data Architect and Data Modeler – Reports to this role and ensure standards and consistency with best practices across teams.a. Must be very skilled with managing people and communication. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated experience developing, motivating, and inspiring team members to achieve results that move the organization forward and serve our members.b. The ideal candidate must have hands on experience working with current Microsoft platforms (Azure platform, data lakes, DataBricks, PowerBI, PowerAutomate), so they have a firm understanding of tools and can truly lead team members that are still learning. This role is meant to be able to take an idea and translate that into a solution, by knowing the tools and what’s possible. Many of the team members are transitioning skills from older technologies to our new platform and this leader will guide their efforts in upskilling, along with the business departments.c. Must be a natural leader that does not require direction. Looking for someone that can take our current vision and take it to a new level. d. Must be passionate about data and analytics and continuous learning. Build and maintain a team of operational professionals that provides a center of excellence for data and drives insights to maximize the company's nformation assets to drive decision making.
Build, direct, develop and mentor the data analytics team, becoming an advocate for needs and ensuring the right resources are in place for success
Foster a culture of trusted partnership, service, and continuous improvement with your team and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the business
Manage reporting structure and oversee recruitment and development of functional data teams and talent to optimize execution towards enterprise goals and objectives.
Be a champion for enterprise Data Governance and Data Architecture strategy and framework to support enterprise goals and objectives.
Remain current on industry innovation in technology, solutions, and best practices in data as well as trends in financial industry.
Establish department goals, objectives and operating procedures consistent with the company's strategic objectives.
Provide direction for production support and troubleshooting on all systems to ensure each technical solution meets business requirements, architectural objectives and business goals.
Provide oversight and reports to senior management on department issues related to staffing, projects, operational activities and support, vendor management and technology budget status.
Protect business records created or used in business processes to ensure availability, confidentiality, integrity; and the retention and destruction as specified by relevant policies.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ability to solve problems, memory for details, ability to prioritize, and ability to maintain concentrated mental and visual attention for sustained periods.
