Timpte is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer-Subassembly at our David City Manufacturing Facility in David City, NE.
As a Manufacturing Engineer-Subassembly, you will plan and design manufacturing processes, maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow layouts, assembly methods, work force utilization, and effective programming of machines with primary focus in the Subassembly Departments.
Job Responsibilities
Help set strategic plan and work cell design to improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, material presentation and equipment layout in all Subassembly areas.
Support day to day manufacturing of current products through process troubleshooting / failure analysis / corrective actions.
Identify, recommend and purchase capital equipment, tooling, and tools.
Lead and assist in the development of the Timpte Production System, which includes safety, quality, efficiency, and throughput improvement, material presentation, Kanban process, takt time, labor resource calculations and work cell design.
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, etc. as well as robotic and programming software
Have or be able to gain an understanding of the entire production cycle
Must have experience with resource calculations, flow manufacturing, work cell design and process improvement. Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
Must be able to take a variety of projects with minimal supervision, ability to plan, purchase, and implement in a timely manner.
