Description Job Title: Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney (Remote with Initial 1 Day per Week in Quincy, IL, Training)Location: Quincy, IL 1 Day per Week at start; otherwise fully REMOTE We are a high-performing, well-respected law firm with offices in Quincy, Illinois, seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney. Our firm has established a strong reputation over the years for its commitment to client success and career growth of its team members. This is a full-time remote position, however, initial training will require one day per week onsite in Quincy. This is a partner track position that offers excellent opportunities for professional growth.Responsibilities:
Manage and defend a caseload of complex medical malpractice cases.
Prepare and present cases for trial, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
Conduct legal research and advise clients on their legal rights.
Draft memorandums, briefs, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Qualifications:
Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in good standing.
Possess a strong background in medical malpractice defense.
Exhibit exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Have the ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.

Must possess analytical, legal research and writing skills
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to prioritize tasks and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent through each task performed
Juris Doctor experience desired
Strong familiarity with Civil Litigation
Expertise in Law School
Experience with family law
Criminal Litigation experience preferred
Detailed and have the ability work independently
