- A deep understanding of Cassandra partitioning and performance.
- Ability to create advanced table partitioning schemes.
- A solid understanding of CQL and primary/partition key design for queries.
- Creating and maintaining User-Defined Types (UDTs).
- Ability to script data migrations from existing tables to new tables.
- Experienced in writing and troubleshooting PL/SQL including Stored Procedures and Java Stored Procedures.
- Query performance analysis and optimization in Oracle (for example, understanding how to use “explain plan”).
- A team player with the people skills to successfully interface with the Data Services Team (Data Analysts and DataBase Administrators).
- A basic understanding of different Oracle server configurations (RAC vs non-RAC).
- MySql (Good to have)
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
