Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk based in Olathe, Kansas, United States. The individual in this role will be a key part of our accounting team, primarily focusing on the processing and managing of transactions related to billing and collections. This role is a contract position and offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the telecom industry.Responsibilities: Process and monitor incoming payments and secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner Handle accounts receivable duties, ensuring prompt and accurate billing and reducing days sales outstanding Manage cash applications, making sure all cash receipts are applied properly Conduct collection efforts on overdue accounts Handle commercial collections, working with customers to resolve payment issues Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting tasks Operate Oracle and QuickBooks software for various accounting tasks Perform other related duties as required, adhering to the company's policies and standards. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Billing processes Knowledge of Cash Applications Ability to handle Cash Collections Experience in Commercial Collections Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Oracle software Experience with QuickBooks software Strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team Strong analytical skills High level of integrity and trustworthiness Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Ability to adapt to new software and platforms quickly Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
