Role:
The Bookkeeper will assist with preparing, monitoring, and implementing bookkeeping for the farm operations including but not limited to accounts payables and receivables, data entry, property taxes, asset files, and calculating payroll taxes. Assisting the Financial Manager with all needed administrative and clerical duties, performing tasks with accuracy, effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding business operations, finances, and all other proprietary areas.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Bookkeeper, recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
Utilize farm accounting and financial software to input data.
Perform all activities related to accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
Reconcile all assigned accounts monthly.
Maintain electronic and paper accounting filing system by filing documents in correct folders to maintain efficiency and ease of use.
Monitoring financial transactions and reports. (Creating Financial and Managerial Reports)
Monitoring and Coding Credit Cards
Assist with monitoring Cash Flow and Account Balances
Confirm time cards and complete payroll.
Completion of data entry, property taxes, as asset files timely and accurately.
Ensuring payroll taxes are filed and paid on time for all entities.
Assist Human Resources with updating operations paperwork and policies.
Assist Human Resources with creating and maintaining confidential employee files, medical files, DOT files, correspondence, and records for operation employees.
Perform clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, emailing, answering the telephone, taking messages, and filing.
Oversee the cleanliness and orderliness of the office area.
Other duties as assigned.
