- Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, as well as to identify and resolve business systems issues. This includes, but is not limited to, a project summary consisting of organizational impact, list of applications potentially impacted, identified exclusions and other constraints, risks and dependencies.
- Document a list of functional requirements and the As-Is state.
- Clearly document the requirements in the appropriate format so that it is easy to use and understand by members of the IT staff.
- Create/Capture definitions of how this will benefit the business including any backing evidence the business can provide.
- Ensure the project stays within scope (avoid scope creep) by collaborating with Project Manager and business stakeholders – any requirements that are outside of scope require Project Manager and business approval.
- Create mockups, logical diagrams, and system-to-system logical data mappings.
- Keep in mind, assess, and ensure master data considerations.
- Act as a liaison between Business and IT, providing clarification to questions from IT architects and developers as needed.
- Create test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform initial smoke testing and assist business with executing test plans.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for modified and new systems.
- 3 years of experience in business systems analysis, business operations, or business solutions architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
- Demonstrated high learning agility with strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success leading business and/or technical requirements throughout the development and/or project lifecycle. Experience with JIRA and Confluence, a plus.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams across organizations.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases, BI dashboard tools like Tableau, Qlik, etc
