What You Will Do
Handles vacation, absence, or vacancy relief for the unit manager or director and HHA supervisors, covering all responsibilities as needed in the Certified Services Department. Handles all aspects of the HHA Supervisor’s duties during coverage, and in day-to-day decision making for the unit in covering for unit manager or director.
Assists management with staff evaluations, training, and retraining to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Performs audits to monitor compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Monitors scheduling, compliance, caseload volume, attendance and lateness, customer service, and availability.
Assists management in organizing and leading the unit to handle all functions efficiently and effectively.
Assists with ensuring discipline and coaching of all staff occurs in a professional, effective and timely manner.
Follows-up and reports vendor issues and incident data.
Identifies special needs of the unit and works with manager to develop and implement solutions. Assists in developing departmental and company-wide team efforts through partnerships.
Assists the Personal Care sales team in Intake functions for Chinese MLTC referrals, working to help usher potential clients through the MLTC referral process according to departmental needs.
Liaises with the Personal Care sales team to assist in translation and communication on potential vendor changes with Chinese members according to departmental needs.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Work Experience:
Minimum one year of HHA Supervision experience, preferably at VNS Health Personal Care required
Two years of related work experience, which must include customer service, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities required
