Sr. Accountant

Description We are on the lookout for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Lenexa, Kansas. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our financial operations, managing tasks such as account reconciliation, maintaining the general ledger, and handling journal entries. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry.Responsibilities: Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and receivable. Ensure the general ledger is maintained and updated with the latest transactions. Prepare journal entries and ensure they are correctly logged in the system. Spearhead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial records for the month are accurate. Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure our records are in alignment with bank statements. Utilize Quickbooks Online for maintaining and updating financial records. Leverage Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting. Handle balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Act as an independent worker, managing tasks without constant supervision.
