Find whole-person care, dedicated teams and staff, and a wide variety of medical services, all at our hospital in Shawnee Mission, Kansas .The role you'll Contribute:The Patient Accounts Specialist is responsible for duties specific to the assigned department that supports the functions of the Revenue Cycle for AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Assist in meeting departmental goals in accordance to the hospital strategic plan. Patient Accounts Specialist will foster a patient-focused environment in the department; maintaining acceptable standards of service and assisting in creating a vision for the area which reflects the vision and values of Advent Health Shawnee Mission.The value you’ll bring to the team:

Meet and exceed upfront cash collection goals

Maintain a 98% RQA score each month

Remain current on insurance knowledge and changes

Obtain and process accurate patient demographic and insurance information

QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time

Medical terminology knowledge – preferred

Experience in a Patient Access setting or as a patient accounts specialist – preferred
