ALL shifts for this position will be on weekday evenings and/or weekends. The ideal candidate will be:

Our employees are dedicated to the city-s core values - integrity, service, teamwork, dedication, vision and caring.Under the general guidance of the Assistant Recreation Center Manager, this position is primarily responsible for the coordination, preparation and supervision of birthday parties and events, as well as monitoring and maintaining the gymnasium space during open gym, activities, and other assigned events.Key Responsibilities

Provides customer service, direct leadership, and general supervision of both birthday parties and events, as well as gymnasium open play.

Opens/closes and supervises gym facilities.

Cleans and prepares rental spaces prior to each rental, including arranging tables and chairs, and setting tables with place settings.

Sets up/tears down and adjusts equipment in multiple gym spaces.

Maintains and operates equipment and supplies. Instructs patrons on proper use if necessary.

Provides for a clean, safe, and secure environment through monitoring of participants, general cleaning, and enforcing policies within the space.

Completes and maintains proper forms, reports and general information for staff, including incident reports, attendance reports, etc.

Enforces facility, equipment, and program rules and regulations, taking appropriate corrective action with participants when necessary.

Administers First-Aid and CPR, if necessary.

Additional Examples of Work Performed

Assists in other areas of the facility.

Monitors and assists in maintaining cleanliness throughout the first and second floors of the facility.

Set up and support of all facility wide events.

QualificationsMinimum: Must be 16 or older and have previous experience in at least one of the following program areas: childcare, general youth programming, arts and crafts, or sports and athletics; Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification within 60 days of being hired.Desired: CPR/First Aid/AED certified, one year of customer service experience, and experience with multiple sports and or child watch experience.Starting rate of pay is $15.50 per hour. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment drug screen.
