Product Owner

OVERVIEWThe Product Owner plays a critical role in driving execution and delivery for product teams. They work to refine product priorities into detailed user stories, maintain the product backlog, and facilitate Agile ceremonies. They serve as the product team's primary contact, perform user acceptance testing (UAT), coordinate cross-team dependencies, collect user feedback, and track team performance metrics. The Product Owner serves as the crucial bridge between strategic product vision and tactical implementation. REPORTS TOThe Product Owner reports to the Manager, Product Owners in the Product Delivery department.  ESSENTIAL DUTIESThe essential duties for this role include, but are not limited to: Partners with the product team to understand product priorities and refine them into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteriaMaintains and refines the team backlog to ensure product teams always have clear, ready items to work onFacilitates the Agile process and ceremonies (standup, refinement, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives) for one or more product teamsServes as the primary day-to-day contact for the product team to answer questions and remove blockersPerforms UAT on completed work to ensure it meets defined acceptance criteria before releaseCoordinates across product teams to manage risks and dependencies on priorities that span multiple teamsCoordinates with stakeholders on releases including preparing documentation, schedules, and beta/early adopter previewsTriages incoming issues and requests from users/stakeholders and collects ongoing product feedbackTracks and analyzes sprint performance metrics to identify process improvements and team velocity trendsCreates monthly reporting outlining product team metrics and outcomesROLE COMPETENCIESThe competencies for this role include, but are not limited to:  Emotional IntelligenceDrive for ResultsContinuous ImprovementCommunication
