PRIMARY FUNCTION OR OBJECTIVE:

To package, label, code, and date containers and as well as add ingredients to product while upholding the safety and food safety standards.

JOB DUTIES:

To clean, sanitize, and prep area so product can be made in a food safe environment.

Assemble boxes for product

Package finished product.

Print proper labels for packages for identification.

Take samples on a scheduled basis and mark for identification.

Follows established methods for systematic storage of finished products to facilitate storage and retrieval.

Maintains location records as necessary.

Set up proper ink jet for the specific product

Set up heat sealer properly and ensure food is contained and sealed properly

Lifting up-to 50lb bag/boxes on a regular basis

May drive forklift truck to move materials or product to and from storage

Keep inventory of ingredients

May use proper brooms, shovels, water hoses, steam hoses, brushes and other equipment to keep work area clean.

Assists others as needed including soy plant

Perform other related duties as required.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Requires the ability to read and understand tables and formulas and deal with whole numbers. Equivalent to a partial high school education.
