Employment Type:Full timeShift:Description:Position Purpose:Assists members of the surgery team with day-to-day functions of the department. Furnishes sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment and services for the care and treatment of patients.What you will Do:

Cleans and sterilizes equipment, surgical instruments, and rooms.

Stocks materials, supplies and linen.

Transports patients

Provides documentation.

Adheres to all safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.

Hours/Schedule:1.0 FTE; 80 hours per pay period; will be included in “On Call” rotation; typical schedule is 9:00am-5:30pm but can vary.Minimum Qualifications:

Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties.

Minimum of six months experience working with surgical instruments and assisting in patient care preferred.

Basic language, basic math, basic reasoning ability and computer skills.

Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Ability to work under pressure and to take direction from others.
