Job DescriptionThis position will be based in Black Hawk County. It will supervise workers in the Black Hawk County Office.This supervisor is responsible for the following: 1) hiring and training new income maintenance workers, 2) performance evaluations for line staff, 3) auditing the work of all workers monthly, 4) ensuring that benefits, food stamps and medical for families are accurate and timely each month, 5) responding to customer concerns and complaints generated from families, 6) scheduling leave, coverage and overtime, 7) conducting investigations for employee misconduct, 8) counseling and developing corrective action plans for underachievers, 9) community outreach efforts, 10) participating in local and statewide work groups and projects, and 11 ) providing policy clarifications and training daily so that workers produce quality work.Competencies include: Ability to plan, direct, organize, and make decisions regarding the operations of assigned responsibility. Two years (equivalent to 60 credit hours) of post high school course work from an accredited college or university and three years of full-time work experience in an income maintenance program.

Five years of full-time work experience in an income maintenance program.
