We are looking to fill a full-time Auto Body Painter position. Compensation is commission based on experience. We are seeking an individual who is experienced in auto body paint and prep; certification helpful but not required. A successful candidate will be dependable, punctual, a self starter and have good communication skills.

Summary of Duties:
Perform skilled work in preparing automotive equipment for painting and applying solvent based paint and water based paint with spray guns and other auto painting equipment to automotive and construction equipment.
Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.
Selects and mixes paint according to specifications to produce desired color.
Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags and unpainted areas.
Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
Keeps the work area clean.
Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
Understands, keeps up to date on and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
Other tasks as assigned.
Education:
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
