With a focus on precision and excellence, we are seeking a skilled drafter specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems using Revit and AutoCAD to join our growing team. This works alongside both mechanical and electrical engineering team members to produce detailed and accurate drawings, ensuring the seamless integration of design elements into construction plans. Location is open to Sioux Falls, SD, Sioux City, IA, or Omaha, NE. RESPONSIBILITIES
Input mechanical and electrical designs into Revit or AutoCAD, from red-lined drawings for construction drawings.
Update MEP models as construction progresses to “as-built” conditions.
Construct and build 3D Revit models from Architect AutoCAD and PDF drawings.
Oversee the usage and application of Architectural and Structural Revit models for use in MEP Revit model.
Oversee AutoCAD and Revit drafting standards to ensure drawings are being produced efficiently and accurately.
Complete AutoCAD drawings of electrical one-line drawings as needed.
Assist the BIM team with HVAC and plumbing coordinator and prefabrication as time allows.
QUALIFICATIONS
An Associate’s Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting plus two years of experience in electrical, HVAC and plumbing drafting in AutoCAD and Revit, or five years of experience in electrical, HVAC and plumbing drafting in AutoCAD and Revit required.
Must be proficient in current versions of AutoCAD and Revit with the ability to create HVAC, plumbing, and electrical drawings. Certifications in AutoCAD and/or Revit a plus but not required.
Must have detailed knowledge of working with and setting up 3D models, working with and modification of families and schedules in Revit.
Experience with NavisWorks, BIM modeling and clash detection/resolution is a plus, but not required.
Must be able to work independently, with an eye for detail and good problem solving skills.
Must be able to walk job sites, stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel and be able to use hands and arms to operate office and job site equipment.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a good driving record with the ability to travel to meetings and job sites
