We are looking to hire a Electroneurodiagnostic Tech.As a Electroneurodiagnostic Tech at MercyOne, you will perform electroencephalographic (EEG) procedures at a level requiring minimal guidance or assistance. May be required to perform a variety of other technical procedures, including polysomnographic (PSG) studies, that require independent judgment.General Requirements:
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service/care appropriate to the age of the patients served, in accordance with Mercy standards.
Prepares the patient, obtains the EEG recording and performs the PSG recording.
Administers nasal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (nCPAP) and other treatment modalities to the patient as needed during the recording per department protocol.
Must be able to work independently or under minimal supervision.
Must be able to identify potential or actual medical crisis and must take direct action to intervene.
Experience with technical or mechanical equipment and ability to use some medical equipment, computers, etc., is preferred.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, advanced analytical skills, be well organized and maintain a highly professional manner and appearance.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of MercyOne.
Education:
Graduate of two-year Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Program is required. Would consider a minimum of 4 years related experience in lieu of formal education. Consideration will also be given to individuals with a background in Respiratory Therapy.
Iowa Polysomnography Practitioner License.
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
Must maintain Basic Certification in Life Support.
