The Maintenance Technician is responsible to perform a variety of general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, repair, and equipment overhaul of the organization.
General Hours of Work
Monday - Friday (night, weekend, holiday and call rotation) (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificate, Licenses, Registrations
Must have or will be required to obtain a driver’s license and must carry their own automobile liability insurance.
Essential Functions
Carry out routine and specific assignments. These may include, but not be limited to: recalibration of room thermostats; patient services; repair beds, carts, and other wheeled equipment; assemble, move and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment; repair desks, files, cabinets, chairs, and other furniture and wall coverings and assist other trades personnel as needed in handling materials on major repair or installation projects. Maintain daily log of activities.
Demonstrate ability to complete minor electrical/mechanical equipment repairs.
Performs and records project management checks of equipment and records
Understands and comprehends boiler operations.
Work on all types of pumps: water, chlorine and sewage, etc.
Follows and keeps updated of all applicable city, state, and federal codes for fire and safety.
Inspects incoming equipment for electrical safety.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
