May or may not require a CDL license.You can now access your wages before pay day !Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperates jockey truck transferring trailers to and from the processing area. The task requires maneuvering in and out of the vehicle up to a height of 4 feet every 1/2 hour.Ensures that trailers are processed in the order designated by management.Ensures that YMS (Yard Management System) is updated and policy followed. Keeping the yard organized and in order.Performs pre-op inspection of vehicle and post-op cleaning on a daily basis.Yard checks are done periodically. Communicates with the gate, the dock office and management.Must be able to perform the position responsibilities of the forklift operator.Minimum EducationHigh school or equivalentExperience RequirementsReading and writing skills required. Must have a valid Class D drivers license. Must obtain a forklift license through company training. May require a CDL license.Experience PreferredEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsWorks outdoors year round in seasonal temperatures with noise exposure of 96.2 db; light intensity of less than 5' candles.When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.Ensure that correct trailers are spotted into correct dock doors for loading and ensure trailers are locked properly to ensure safe forklift operation conditions in the trailers.Ensure trailers are not pulled away from docks until properly cleared for removal.Inspect and report any repairs or maintenance needed, safety malfunctions, and damage to equipment.
