Job Summary Work Shift1 - First ShiftThe Engineering Technician I -Test is responsible to set up, test, conduct and summarize test results on various machinery and/or components. In addition–this position provides feedback to the internal customer.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.

Perform instrumented tests on various machines.

Recommend improvements on testing methodologies.

Organize, inspect, and prepare parts for testing.

Document and record test results and observations in the appropriate locations.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma.

Technical School or skilled trade program in automotive technology, diesel technology, industrial systems technology, ag systems technology or related field, preferred.

Minimum 3 years previous Mechanical, Agricultural, or technician experience and/or job training.

Other Skills and Abilities

Understanding of design guidelines, and electrical and hydraulic standards.

Ability to apply instrumentation correctly for various testing: pressure transducers, thermocouples, strain gauges and voltage current vibration.

Fundamental knowledge in Microsoft, Dewesoft and NCode.

Fundamental knowledge to safely operate tools and company products and complete assigned processes.

Fundamental knowledge in the areas of diagnostics and trouble shooting.

Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.

Actively works to build positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and co-workers.

Developing verbal and written communication skills.
