Duties
Manage intercompany orders (international orders within internal plants or distribution centers) including order entry, inquiries, change requests, and exceptions.
Requires investigating order status, resolving shipment discrepancies, and resolving back-order situations.
Manage reporting process for demand planning, order management, inventory management, and financial reporting.
Follows a variety of clearly defined procedures under general guidance within functional disciplines such as supply planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory/materials control, import/export, etc.
Works independently, although the scope for discretion is limited and the output is reviewed periodically while in progress. The work priorities are defined by the manager/supervisor. Must be highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provide best practice sharing within work group.
Utilizes tracking systems to manage progress and report results
The job also requires performing other duties as assigned.
Skills
Basic knowledge of theories and practices such as supply planning, warehousing, transportation, inventory/materials control, import/export, etc.
Knowledge/experience in computer programs and corporate systems relevant to the assigned area of responsibility is required. Programs and systems include as SAP-ERP, JDA, Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.), etc.
Possesses the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
Uses basic analytical skills to interpret information, examine variables, draw conclusions, and assess alternative methods.
Education
A bachelor level university/college degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. OR Equivalent years of related work experience in related field such as supply chain or customer service.
