Our experts co-create products with customers to bring innovations to major industry sectors such as transportation, consumer goods, industrial applications, and construction.These solutions contribute to a sustainable future by pushing the boundaries in thermal resistance, robustness and lightweight applications.As a Production Operator at the BASF Malcom, IA site you will be responsible for all aspects of personal safety, product quality, and operating of the reactors. As well as, filling loading, and unloading systems and their auxiliary equipment such as blend tanks. The Production Operator will manufacture quality finished goods and manage raw materials in a safe and efficient manner. This includes running the control panel for reactor, load/unload of tank trucks, totes, drums or pails as required.During your 12-hour shift as a Lead Operator, you will

Perform batching in blend tanks and reactors.

Read, record, and interpret data of instruments, reactors, tanks, pumps, etc. and makes corrective adjustments as required to efficient production runs.

Understand and follow all procedures in the Big 5 (Safe Work Permit, Lock Out Tag out, Line Break, PPE, and Hot Work) after appropriate instruction and training.

Operate a forklift to move needed raw materials and scrap materials to properly designated areas.

Perform housekeeping to maintain production and operations in neat and orderly condition.

If you

Have a HS Diploma or GED.

Are willing to work 12-hour shifts 3-4 days a week.

Can lift up to 50 lbs.

Can perform light maintenance duties in the plant and/or warehouse.

Have experience with SAP

Have knowledge of Safe Work Permits / Lock Out Tag Out

Are skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel

Can wear a PAPR (positive air purifying respirator).

Know how to operate a forklift
