Screw Machinist - Pay based on experienceMon - Fri 8:00am - 5:00pmAre you a hard-working, experienced Screw Machinist looking for a new career opportunity? If so, this position is for you! A local manufacturing company in the Le Mars area is looking for a hard-working, experienced Screw Machine Operator to join their team. As a Screw Machinist, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of the Screw Machine, as well as the production of turned parts.Responsibilities:
Read blueprints, drawings and job orders for dimensions, tolerances, and number of work pieces.
Set up and operate Warner Swasey Multispindle Screw machines.
Adjust and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
Verify conformance of production parts to specifications using various measuring instruments.
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Strong mechanical ability is required, previous Screw Machine experience preferred.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to produce quality products without sacrificing defined throughput expectations.
Ability to communicate effectively with others and to instruct/teach others as needed.
Ability to work effectively with little supervision.
