Superior Skilled Trades is seeking electrician apprentices for a long-term project in Iowa, LA area.
PAY: $22-$24/hour (based upon experience)
HOURS: Shifts will be 8-hour workdays, 5 days per week (Overtime available)
SCHEDULE: Workdays will be Monday- Friday; 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
START DATE: ASAP
Duration: 9+ months
Electrician Apprentice Job Description:
We are seeking electrician apprentices with experience can run underground PVC conduit, grounding systems, and electrical equipment. Responsibilities include supporting underground conduit and grounding installations, mounting steel structures on anchor bolt foundations, installing electrical equipment on steel structures, and pulling power and control cables through conduit.
Qualifications for Electrician apprentice:
2+ years of electrical experience in a substation or industrial setting
Experience working around open trenches, including installing underground PVC conduit and ground wire, backfilling, and compacting trenches using shovels and dirt-packing equipment
Ability to work safely around moving equipment, including spotting for forklifts, digging equipment, and cranes
Experience using taglines and assisting with setting steel structures
Ability to assist with the installation of electrical substation steel and equipment
Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
Proficiency in safely using hand and power tools, as well as personal protective equipment (PPE)"
Must have PPE including steel-toe work boots, hard hat, gloves, high visibility vest, and protective eyeglasses.
Must have standard electrical hand tools.
Additional Requirements for Electrician apprentice:
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation to the job site
