Overview of position:- Conduct testing of raw materials, analyze results, and determine if raw material attributes comply with manufacturing standards.
- Conduct testing of in-process product, analyze results, and determine if in-process product attributes comply with manufacturing standards.
- Conduct testing of finished product, analyze results, and determine if finished product attributes comply with manufacturing standards.
- Develop and conduct quality assurance programs.
- Ensure that systems and equipment are operating efficiently and that proper maintenance and repairs are performed.
- Train others in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Implement safety procedures.
- Implement quality procedures.
- Implement improvement procedures.
- Exhibit strong technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Exhibit strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Must have a BS or MS degree and 3-5 years experience in one or more of the following disciplines: analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, molecular biology/gene engineering, methods validation, pharmacology, NDA, quality assurance, quality control, report writing or calculations.
- Experience is defined as hand-on-techniques gained in academic or industrial settings.
