Barrett's Quality Eats is a Midwestern bakery, café, and deli created for our community, headed by notable Chef Cory Barrett. We will be opening for dinner service in early April featuring a seasonal contemporary take on a classic bistro menu. Our Dinner menu will be served Tuesday-Saturday, 5-9pm.
We are looking for individuals who show up on time and work with honesty and integrity to prepare food that you are proud of. We work hard and we have fun while we do it!
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare for daily service by prepping ingredients, stocking your station and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Cook food to order during service in accordance with the Chef's standards
Maintains and properly uses all kitchen equipment including ovens, slicers, blenders, food processors, mixers and rotisserie.
Follows standard operating procedures of all recipes, techniques, and builds sheets of assigned dishes as shown by the Chef.
Responsible for correct product storage of all mise en place, including labeling and dating procedures.
Responsible for maintaining properly sharpened knives and tools and exhibits at least average knife skills in speed and accuracy to maintain a professional line cook's workload.
Has knowledge of Department of Health standards and uses them as a guide to keep kitchen spaces tidy.
Experience & Abilities:
Experience is a plus but not required
ServSafe Certification a Plus
Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift 50 lbs
English fluency preferred
Hourly $15-$18
