The Agronomic Data Specialist supports the collection, the evaluation, the interpretation, and implementation of agronomic data to serve Key Cooperative members and customers. This position works closely with Agronomy Sales and Centrol Precision Ag Sales Teams to understand individual customer needs and farm data. This position is an integral part of the agronomy team to onboard and interpret a variety of data including but not limited to precision ag software, nutrient management plans, soil test data, yield data, and other records. This position promotes the proper use of crop nutrients, crop protection, seed, precision ag products, and other services offered at Key Cooperative to Key Cooperative members and customers. Ultimately, the Agronomic Data Specialist will serve a key role in building customer relationships that help grow agronomy sales and brand value for Key Cooperative.We offer competitive compensation along with a full benefits package including development opportunities, health, vision, and dental insurance along with two retirement plans - 401(k) and pension. S.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Certified Crop Advisor · Drone license. · An outstanding work ethic with ability to pay attention to the details. What you will be doing: · Maintaining, collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and implementing soil test data into precision ag software from soil sampling partners, agronomy/precision sales team members, and customers. · Maintaining, collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and implementing RTK boundaries into precision ag software from soil sampling partners, agronomy/precision sales team members, and customers. · Maintaining, collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and implementing yield data into precision ag software from agronomy/precision sales team members, and customers. · Maintaining, collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and implementing variable rate and precision data into precision ag software and application machines for product application. · Maintaining, collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and implementing as applied data into precision ag software from agronomy/precision sales team members, agronomy operations members and customers for application performance evaluation. · Developing and maintaining proficiency in precision ag software, including but not limited to Proagrica (Sirrus), Ag Leader (SMS), Ag Sync and Climate. · Collaborating and taking direction from the Agronomic Data Manager, the Centrol Precision Ag Manager, as well as the Key Cooperative IT team in maintaining, collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and implementing the agronomic database. · Supporting the Agronomy Sales and Precision Ag teams in maintaining, collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and implementing the agronomic database for their specific customer needs. This may include but not be limited to location and farm visits with the Key Cooperative Team Members and Customers. · Supporting the Agronomy Operations teams in maintaining, collecting, evaluating, interpreting, and implementing the agronomic database for product application needs. This may include but not be limited to applications for crop protection, crop nutrient and seed through ground application, aerial application, drone application and planters. · Developing, coordinating, and implementing the Key Cooperative Internal Trial Program, including but not limited to seed, crop protection, crop nutrient & precision ag products. Part of this program will include obtaining a Drone License for conducting aerial imagery and pictures for trials. · Mentoring an Agronomy Intern each summer that will be assisting in data collection for the Key Cooperative Internal Trial Program. · Obtaining and maintaining certification in the following but not limited to, Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and FAA Drone Pilot License.
